Different fabrics

Fabric can be man-made and natural. Natural fabrics examples are cotton (extracted from cotton plant) and linen (extracted from flax plant). Natural fabrics are many tomes called organic and environment friendly fabrics. Almost all organic fabrics are hypoallergenic and allow to breath better. However, linen and cotton fabric gets wrinkles very easily. The artificial fabrics can be completely synthetic or a mixture of natural and synthetic fibers. These synthetic fabrics are not so prone to wrinkles and are much more mold resistant.

Fabric Thread Count

Softness and resistance of any fabric is measured by thread count. Thread count measures the number of threads in one square inch of the fabric. You will find bed linen from 80 to 1500. Usually, an higher thread count results in a more soft fabric, however, also makes the fabric less durable. A reasonable choice for the thread count range between 200-300.

Color and Pattern

Nowadays we can find bedding in multiple colors and patterns and the choice should be made based on bedroom style, target environment and personal taste. Don't forget that your bedroom decor, which includes color of curtains, style of pillow covers, rugs and furniture, must blend harmoniously.
